(Excuses, Drama, Flakes, Escorts bottom line
Unprofessional Models)
01/19/09
- The year almost started great but here we go with another story. I
set up a shoot with a model for today and somehow the model claimed
(3 weeks later) that she though I had canceled and possibly flaked
on her. Ok, I sent her a message two days before telling her "well
get ready for monday" I
think somewhere there was a hidden message there. lol. I thought by
keeping it short and simply, we were "confirmed". I guess not
according to her. WAIT! Its not over. The night before I sent a
message to her providing her the location and time and noticed she
didn't read it. I waited until the morning and she STILL didn't read
it. I figured, Ahh another flake. So I figured she may not have
access to a computer so I gave her the benifit of the doubt and
called her three times and no answer. She didn't even return my
call. Three days later she reads the message and no word STILL!!!! I
definately stamped her as a FLAKE in my opinion so as promised, as
of this year I am putting everyones name on my port and site of
models whom flaked so this doesn't happen to anyone. Ahhh. Still not
done.. Three weeks later, yeah you read correctly. Three weeks later
I recieve an email from the model telling me that someone informed
her that I was calling her a flake. DAMN SKIPPY! She flaked on me so
she is officially a flake. I felt sort of bad and was going to
remove her from the Flake list but after answering her message and
not getting a simple "I'm sorry" from her triggered me not being a
Mr. Nice guy any more. Time is money and for a simply not showing up
up for a shoot on a trade, this girl becomes an official Flake.
12/29/08
- It was almost two months before I added yet another flake story.
Although there were some reschedules, there was some form of
communication. I can't say that for what happened today. I had
previously scheduled two models for today but with advance notice,
they informed me that they were not going to be able to make it. I
then hit up a lot of models, I knew were interested in shooting and
managed to fill in two slots for today's early A.M. shoot. Guess
what happened, sit down and have a shot of tequila when doing this,
one of the models canceled on me two hours before the shoot. She
claimed she was sick. Ok, I know there is a cold going around so I
said its fine and proceeded to shoot with model #2. Here is the
funny part. I received a voicemail last night/this morning at 12
A.M. guess who left an accidental message?? Model #1, didn't realize
she had called me by accident and it was recording all of her
conversation with someone, obviously it sounded as if she was in her
car and driving home after a gathering or a night out. She didn't
sound sick to me. NOT AT ALL. I heard the message this morning and
couldn't believe how quickly she recooped (note this was the same
day of our shoot) and the entire message pretty much sounded as if
she was ok. This model, I have to say is totally
irresponsible, unprofessional and let's not forget a class LIAR. I
really can't believe she even called me right after the accidental
message. Hmmm.. Oppps! All I can say is starting this 2009, people
who flake will be placed on blast on my port and on the "Models who
Flake" forum.

10/23/08 - Ok here it goes. Today I was so
disgusted as how a model had the nerve to make an attempt to educate
me on verbiage on a model release form then being so immature in
blocking me when informing her that I was very well experienced on
the drafting of contractual agreements. I couldn't believe that
someone conducting a trade for work would be so complicated and
immature. I guess this is when you start weeding out the REAL models
away from the psychos who claim to be models. Look, It's quite
simple. If a photographer is using images for their portfolio,
website, MM accounts etc. as well as models then both are encouraged
to sign a usage agreement. The other is a model release form that
can be as simple as the verbiage in a usage agreement to a more
detailed commercial use. In cases like this you will need to discuss
with the model beforehand if there will be a copyright co-ownership
or to what extent the verbiage will require some modification so
both are comfortable. It is always good to read before you sign.
10/02/08 - WHY? Why is it
Models are very irresponsible? Also why are they demanding on what
types of looks they want then come the day of the shoot they do not
have the Wardrobe? C'Mon.... I am not a Wardrober/Stylist/Your CC or
Pimp. If your looking to do a particular shoot, make sure to prepare
to either bring a Wardrober/Stylist and/or bring your clothing and
accesories. Don't expect me to bring those for you. I had a model
whom wanted to do a fashion shoot with a very sexy dress (she sent
me a sample) and guess what? She show's up with her cousin aka MUA
and her escort (boyfriend)... Why is it she THOUGHT I provided the
dress? Do I look like THE MALL?? Anyhow, I decided to share this
experience oh and let's not forget the boyfriend aka escort. That
didn't go well. So again don't bring your boyfriend or man or
skammer or other half or pimp. Trust me, it will not work out well.
09/20-21/08
- Ok the flakyness never ends. As I come across more models, the
more I find myself bumping into irresponsible models. I don't really
want to burn any model as that is not my style but I am getting
really close putting the names out there of the flaky models. This
time around the models didn't call or email. Oh and guess what, they
didn't even pick up their phone. What a surprise. (sarcasm) Well
this is getting pretty annoying so ladies PLEASE don't waste my time
if your NOT SURE or a FLAKE!!!!!
08/13/08
- Here is what they told me THE DAY BEFORE THE SHOOT "I'll call you
back". Still waiting..... I'm not going to put anyone on blast but
AGAIN yet another day without shooting due to lack of communication
on their part. What's funny is that their manager didn't call either
to confirm or cancel. lol. As a backup plan I was going to meet with
two other wonderful girls but somehow we simply missed eachothers
calls. Oh well we will have to reschedule.
08/06/08 - Yet another MM flake. All in
all this is getting to common by MM models but the excuses are what
baffles me. This model scheduled and didn't have the professionalism
to call and cancel. Totally common on MM but trust me, I will NEVER
work with this model.
07/26/08 - It is sad to have encountered
my first flake here on model mayhem. Today I had scheduled three
girls for a shoot and guess what? One of them had all the excuses in
the world not to show up. In the background I could hear a male
voice screaming at her. Listen ladies, if your man does not allow or
gets MAD because you model, then don't waste my time. I don't need
flakes or drama PLEASE!!!. |
